The Waxhaw Farmers Market is a non-profit "producer-only" market operated by its vendors and volunteers.  "Producer-only" means the items you purchase were grown, baked, or made by the vendors you meet on Saturday mornings.  Throughout 2011 we conducted a survey and over 97% of you said "I want to buy directly from the producer..." Producer-only markets offer you many obvious advantages such as freshness, uniqueness, and the opportunity to ask questions about the items you purchase.  Many less obvious advantages also exist such as reduced environmental impacts, your shopping dollar stays local, and you are helping to strengthen your community.  Make a difference by shopping with us at the Waxhaw Farmers Market.         .
While we enjoy our canine friends, the fact remains that we are a food-based marketplace. For sanitary, health and safety reasons, we ask that you leave your dogs at home.  Guide dogs and dogs that provide services are welcome with their human handlers.  Thank you!

Our 2013 Season is about to start!.

Starting April 6th, the market will be open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm , until last Saturday before Christmas.

 

New this year: we had a Winter Market, every other Saturday in January through the end of March from 10am-noon, weather permitting.  We are looking forward and planning for winter 2014 already! Because you, the customers, told us you would like for the Market to be open during the winter.

 

We are located at the corner of Price and Church Street in Downtown Waxhaw, NC, behind Stewart's Village Gallery.  Please click on the location page for a map.
